IP Address Settings
How to set my notebook to automatically find and connect to an IP address? Most wireless network connections are set to obtain an IP address automatically. However, some wireless networks use settings that require typing in the addresses manually. Please consult your network administrator or the user guide for your wireless access point, or the wireless access point manufacturer to determine which settings are appropriate.
To set your notebook to automatically find and connect to its IP address, just follow the steps below:
Right click the Wireless Network Connection icon in the system tray
Left click Network and Sharing Centre.
Click Manage network connections on the left.
Right click Wireless Network Connection
Left click Properties. The Wireless Network Connection Properties window appears.
Click Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Next, click Properties. A list of options will apear.
Ensure that Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address are automatically selected. Click OK.
Click OK to exit the Wireless Network Connection Properties window.
